Why does the calculator determine a larger width than my window?Updated a year ago
For Rod Pocket, Ring Top, and Grommet Curtains, we suggest the width of your panels is 2-3 times the width of the window. Why? This ensures that panels have proper fullness and create the beautiful ripple-effect (as seen in our photos). Proper width also guarantees that light does not shine through for blackout drapery.
Pinch and Tailored Pleat curtains have built-in fullness and need to be at least 2” wider than the molding. The width refers to the finished top width. These curtains are made with ~1.9x the material of the other three styles.
